Hello.

I am Erin Doumert, a highly skilled trauma practitioner.

Iā€™m dedicated to helping individuals holistically heal from trauma through nervous system regulation. My journey into this transformative field has been shaped by years of learning from respected teachers in the plant medicine space and trauma experts, including Dr. Peter Levine.

I believe that true healing goes beyond traditional talk therapy, as trauma is not something that can be solely thought through; it's a response deeply rooted in your nervous system.

What motivates me in my work is the impact I witness as clients regain a sense of safety within their bodies. This newfound safety allows them to experience their emotions fully and be present with themselves and those around them.

My Background

My expertise lies in helping people heal from trauma through the powerful modalities of Somatic Experiencing and Parts Work. This understanding comes from my training as a Psychedelic Integration Specialist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, 200-Hour Yoga Teacher (YTT), and having facilitated over 200 ketamine sessions, but it also stems from the healing I have found in my own journey.

I am personally dedicated to my own healing and growth, walking alongside plant medicine and going deep into my own somatic experiencing work since 2008. This commitment to my healing path deeply informs and enriches my work with clients. My connection to this work stems from my own experiences with religious and early childhood developmental trauma. I understand the complexity of the healing process, and I offer a safe and supportive space for individuals to begin releasing old wounds.

My Approach

My treatment philosophy revolves around the fundamental understanding that to process trauma, we must first build our capacity to do so. This begins by signaling to your body that you are safe. In our 1:1 sessions, I introduce various somatic practices to establish safety. Once your nervous system is regulated, we can embark on the journey of processing trauma in a gentle and nurturing manner, gradually unraveling the events and giving your nervous system the time and space it needs to heal.

What sets me apart from other trauma practitioners is my holistic approach. It's not just about nervous system regulation; it includes inner child work, boundary setting, shadow work, and connecting with different aspects of yourself. It's about embracing and loving all parts of who you are, ultimately becoming friends with yourself.

In my practice, I uphold values of creating a safe, nurturing, and confidential space where clients can freely express their true authentic selves, free from judgment.

Clients who work with me benefit by starting to feel safe in their bodies and environments, gaining confidence in experiencing life fully, acquiring the ability to regulate their nervous systems, and effectively processing their emotions.
